I thought i was the only one here into ive been looking for something like this and its really good!
This is one of the best things you've written! The way you described the snow was perfect, great job! I'm so intrigued by how you wrote the cat's dialogue. How did they lose their name? And why was the spirit a cat, anyway? I would love to see more like this!
I love how called his goggles “color-correcting glasses,†it just made me laugh. Great job! Your writing always brings a smile to my face, no matter what the story’s about.

I enjoyed your poem. I think you did very well.
I'd say you're off to a good start. I'd have cut 'forever' from the description of the fireflies. All you need is 'reminder' and their flashes don't last forever. Even so, you made me wonder what the boy was doing out there when he should've been indoors, and your other descriptions are good. its worth carrying on with it.
