Talk about self inflicting wounds of love. That just describes it there.
I felt the same way about a chick. Some of the words you wrote I also used towards her, but never though will I see her the same way again after we broke apart and never I think will she love me or I'll love her.
Great poem.
The comparisons of the abstract idea is amazing.
'Sharp tines scratching the black board', 'bug in a spider's web'- those are great connections .
You had me making all these connections and seeing what is happening, but then the ending came and it sort of threw me off the rails.
I believe if you took out, "She was gone" and then had "Never to return again" be the last phrase by itself for the ending, it would spark that emotion of one unique kind of love has vanished.
Overall, it was great.
Loved the ending. The last sentence couldn't be any better as it was so well used.
"Stick it to The Man!"- Dewey Finn (Jack Black); School of Rock
You do you, I'll do me and we'll both be happy individuals.
Dang! Never saw it coming for two things. The truck and "Panic! At The Disco. I may not be a fan of, Panic! At The Disco and was hoping that it might be "Judas Priest" or "Iron Maiden", but that doesn't mean I didn't like the story.
Nice!π
An interesting concept for a story.
It reminds me of a classic horror film where a haunted castle (in this case, a shack) is high on the rocks in the sea mixed with Coraline vibes.
Gotta say I never had that red "romantic magic marker" on any sheet, nor did I want that either.
A fine story indeed.
