aMaZiNg!! i really loved how at the end you said "the boy in the blue t-shirt" it really made it kind of mysterious. but i also enjoyed how its like a letter. KEEP WRITING!! :P
An interesting concept for a story.
It reminds me of a classic horror film where a haunted castle (in this case, a shack) is high on the rocks in the sea mixed with Coraline vibes.
I like the way you tease at there being more to the story than what you show without making it too confusing to keep up with.
You could cut 'by any stretch of the imagination' and still convey the essential point. Nonetheless its a good portrayal of a man too proud to ask for help. Our culture puts a lot of pressure on us to be perfect but few if any of us are.
