I was not expecting that, and got weird looks from my classmates when I gasped.

I believe her killer is the man i who dropped her off and his angry wife.

I think the wife and doctor got together and killed him. The doctor had access to the poison and the wife had access to his drink.

I did not see any misspelling or any other typos. I believe he is lucky.
