I'm so impressed. How does one write poetry like this?
I like the idea, and it was super intriguing! Some things could be clearer, but for a first draft, It's pretty amazing. I just have so many questions about the main character that I don't have answers to yet because there isn't more of this story.
So yeah. Keep writing.

Michael and Avery already have a dynamic I know I'll love. Oh, and the writing feels professional enough to make me feel like I'm reading a published e-book.

I LOVE THIS STORY
Love the feather visuals. Love the atmosphere. Word choice is kinda flowery, but not bad by any means.
This is easily the most emotional part. Only the end is rushed, and even that is fine.
Oh, I love this story so much.
Easily my favorite part of the story so far. It flows better, and the dialogue was fun and showed the characters' personalities nicely.
I'm excited for the rest.
