Ah, young wise one, do you not see what you have done for the people surrounding you? Their lives could be better or for worse because of you and if it is for worse, that is their problem as for they have to learn to accept that not everything is perfect. Even Jesus Christ wasn't perfect. He claims that killing one's self is wrong, yet he sacrificed himself for our sins (not trying to be religious, but I'm taking an aspect to show my point of thinking). For everything, there is a reason, so at that point, it is not worthless.

This reminds me of a quote from Pintrest (not sure who said it). "Everybody wants to go to heaven, but no one wants to die." I don't know, thought it fit pretty well with the idea of the measure of life based on good and bad deeds we do.
Great writing.👍

Very nice. Very punchy writing, communicates the fear very well. The one thing I noticed was the part near the beginning when it talks about diving under the covers as quickly as possible, I would just say they dived, the context of the dive communicates the panic perfectly already. Dives are never slow, after all. :)
Anyway, I really like it. Especially the first half, it felt very fresh and clear.

I get this a lot, cause I have scars and cuts too. I'm glad you were able to stop, and I hope I can find the strength to stop to.

One of my favorite short stories I've ever read. The emotions are spot on and the way it's written really pulled me in. Excellent work.

I actually enjoyed this very much. It's an intriguing idea that really makes you think about like and death and good and bad. All that stuff. Great work.
