I dont disagree with the other guy it could use some work, but overall Its an ok story.

The other day, I told my mom I wasn't a fan of math, and she got mad at me. I've always been artistic, but she shut my artist dreams down. "Doesn't make enough money" she said.

Yeah, it was a vey overexplained version of the simple satatement, It's raining fiercely outside but I dont have to worry because I'm in the comfort of my home inside.
