It's not bad at all. I think the scraping part was my favorite.

I lean more toward it being..... A curse with possibilities.

There's a power in this poem that many people rarely feel inside themselves. The cages we live inside sometimes turn out to be harder to escape than we thought, and we take it to mean that we ourselves are weak, when in reality, it's admirable that we can even stand under the weight of our personal problems.
I think the mindset presented in this poem could be a good alternative.

This made me sad. I don't agree with your opinion on religion, but I do agree with your take on school. School is way harder than it should be, way too structured, and astronomically overrated by adults and students alike. It has its place, as well as definite benefits, but as a whole it's failing on a nation-wide scale in regards to educating people.
On a different note, you obviously don't think false hope is better than no hope, so my question is where do you think hope should come from?
